Relax and treat yourself in Saint-Hippolyte

Welcome to the Hotel and Restaurant A La Vignette

Close to the Château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg, you’ll be enchanted by Saint-Hippolyte and its typical Alsatian architecture, a perfect excuse to while away the hours and

try the “Rouge de Saint-Hippolyte”, a Pinot Noir with cherry-like aromas. During your stay at our hotel in the heart of the village, you’ll be able to admire the imposing silhouette of the former castle of the Dukes of Lorraine, built in the 17th century, before walking down the village’s old medieval walls and passing by the Tour des Cigognes (Stork Tower), the last remaining of its kind. This tower is topped by a sloped roof and stands at the south-east end of the town. A designated walk (the “Wall” path) follows the route of the ramparts just outside the town.

Still want new places to explore near Saint-Hippolyte? After lunch in our restaurant, you’re just a 10 minutes' drive from Ribeauvillé and a 15 minutes' drive from Riquewihr at the heart of the Alsace wine region. Ribeauvillé is one of the loveliest villages in the region with its charming Grand’Rue (main street) crossing the village. It features lots of timber-framed houses adorned with flower boxes, as well as monuments like the Corn Exchange, the Renaissance fountain, its Town Hall and the Tour des Bouchers (butcher’s tower). Nearby, Riquewihr is the pearl of the Alsace wine region. Listed as one of the “Most Beautiful Villages in France”, this village’s architecture matches the standard of its wines. Walk round the village and see with your own eyes the flower-lined balconies, the sculpted windows and the cobbled courtyards. From the houses built between the 15th and 18th centuries and the castles of the Princes of Württemberg to the squares and fountains, everything here is magnificent!
